Ordination Ceremony

Rev. Patrick Warutere and his wife, Pauline Mureithi, has been Ordained and Commissioned respectively on October 28th, 2023. Pastor Patrick will become the Pastor of North Raleigh International Baptist Church, and Pauline will serve as the Family and Children Minister. They have faithfully served the international community of North Raleigh for seven years.

Pastor Patrick Warutere is not just a shepherd; he is a revolutionary force, wielding wisdom and compassion like weapons to dramatically transform lives. With an impressive educational pedigree from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary, where he earned a Bachelor’s in Theology and a Master in Divinity, he’s currently taking things to another level, pursuing a Doctoral degree in Ministry focused on Organization Leadership. His thirst for knowledge is unparalleled, as he digs deep into advanced studies and research. With a solid foundation in Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE), Pastor Patrick doesn’t just offer routine spiritual care; he provides a lifeline for individuals grappling with intense physical and emotional battles. His ministry saga kicked off in 2005 when Parklands Baptist Church commissioned him as a pastor, followed by his licensing from Bay Leaf Baptist Church in 2020. The Baptist Church has been his battleground since 1995, marked by a powerful baptism by Rev. Ambrose Nyangao of Parklands. Since 2000, he has wholeheartedly devoted himself to full-time ministry, spearheading international mission expeditions to Tanzania, Burundi, and Rwanda, delivering not just hope but a tangible embodiment of the love of Christ through medical camps, educational initiatives, and sports outreach. He didn’t stop there; as the General Secretary of the Aberdare Baptist Convention in Kenya and a church planting coach in North Carolina, he’s relentlessly pushed the Gospel into new territories, establishing fresh churches to expand the Kingdom. Currently, as the Director of Muranga Missions Station, he is a master strategist, ensuring that ministries operate at peak effectiveness and generate genuine impact. Pastor Patrick is a powerhouse in the church community, delivering sermons that resonate, leading powerful prayer and worship services, and providing much-needed spiritual direction. Thanks to his indomitable spirit and visionary leadership, the church is not just surviving; it’s thriving as a dynamic hub of transformation, a place where God’s love is palpably experienced. On a personal level, he is a product of Kenya, raised in a family that fiercely valued the fear of God, hard work, family cohesion, and education. Happily married to Pauline, he is the proud father of three children. His spiritual awakening as a born-again Christian has propelled him to spearhead a multiethnic congregation in North Raleigh, NC. Throughout his career, he’s donned many hats: Contributing Artist, Missions Coordinator, Senior Pastor, and Executive Director across various organizations. Pastor Patrick’s arsenal of skills includes active listening, impactful communication, captivating public speaking, and exceptional organizational savvy, making him a maestro in engaging diverse groups. His life’s work is not just a job; it’s a passionate commitment to serving God through the church, leaving an indelible mark that will echo through eternity.

Pauline Mureithi hails from Kenya and grew up in a family where she imbibed values like the fear of God, hard work, family unity, and the importance of education. Her parents were teachers, and her father also did pastoral work part-time. Pauline is the second-born among five siblings. Her educational journey began in a Catholic all-girls boarding school, but she practiced Anglicanism at home. It was during her time at a boarding high school that she gave her life to Christ during a fellowship. Her childhood was rooted in faith, hard work, and family values, and she balanced farm activities with her studies. Currently married for 17 years with three children, she and her husband are dedicated to raising their children in a godly way. Pauline is a born-again Christian and serves as the Family Life Director in a multiethnic congregation in North Raleigh, NC. She is pursuing an MA in Biblical Counseling at Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary. Her spiritual journey started when she encountered a preacher at the age of 18 who led her to accept Jesus as her Lord and Savior. She joined Parklands Baptist Church in Nairobi, Kenya, and grew in Christian discipline, including reading the Bible, daily prayer, fellowshipping with believers, and sharing her faith. Her calling to serve God full-time became evident as she felt drawn to outreach activities. Seeking guidance from her spiritual leaders, she embarked on a journey of service to God. She thrived in a multicultural environment, celebrating diversity and embracing people from various backgrounds. Her vocational history includes roles as a Missions Coordinator at Parklands Baptist Church in Nairobi, an English teacher at Morogoro Christian Academy in Tanzania, a Missionary and Children Ministry Coordinator at Murang’a Town Baptist Church in Kenya, and her current position as the Family Life Director at Murang’a Missions Station and North Raleigh International Baptist Church. She also completed CPE 1 at Duke Raleigh Hospital. Pauline possesses strengths such as active listening, effective communication, public speaking, and mobilizing skills. She works well with diverse groups and operates effectively both in the background and on the front stage. As the Family Life Director of a multiethnic church, she assists the Lead Pastor in ministering to the congregation on various spiritual and emotional fronts.

The ordination service was conducted by Dr. Rev. Simon Mwangi from Parklands Baptist Church, Kenya, who has mentored Pastor Patrick and Pauline for the past two decades. Dr. Rev. Scott Eanes and Rev. Paul Hill from Fairview Baptist Church, Statesville NC, USA, who have worked alongside Pastor Patrick and Pauline, as well as Father Allen Waller from St Timothy Episcopal Church Raleigh, USA, will be joining Dr. Mwangi in officiating the ceremony.
